Psychotherapy Online
Why Psychotherapy?
Because life is hard. And if you are here, you already feel that and know it deep down. Despite your best efforts you are still struggling, feeling unfulfilled and undernourished. You don’t need self-help guides. You don’t need fixing. You need to understand yourself more fully and be able to consciously choose your life’s direction.
Enter psychodynamic psychotherapy. In practice, this type of therapy means that we will slow down and listen—to what’s said, what isn’t, and what shows up between us. Symptoms are taken seriously, but not as the whole story; they point to something that wants to be known. We learn to think where thinking has been shut down, to feel what we have grown accustomed to escaping. And by doing so, we grow. Change and relief arise naturally.
While insurance companies, institutions and much of the modern world prefers therapies that are easily measurable, trainable and replicable, psychodynamic psychotherapy continuously proves itself to be the gold-standard of personal therapies.
Why remote?
Telehealth lets us prioritize our work without the constraints or frictions of commute or geography. While easier in that way, maintaining a therapeutic “frame” does matter—the same time, the same link, the same space you settle into. Remote does not mean informal.
FAQs
Is psychodynamic work effective online?
Research has continuously borne up the efficacy of online, remote psychotherapy. A recent meta-analysis proved this again, citing it as a “promising treatment.”
How often do we meet?
Session frequency is decided upon during the initial consultation session, and is usually once to three times weekly. Working together more often, and more intensively, allows the work to deepen quickly and naturally, leading to earlier and more robust benefits.
Do you take insurance or provide superbills?
I work by private pay only. At your request, I'll send regular superbills you can submit directly to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.
